Job Description - Principal Project Officer

The role  
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the daily functions of QPACH to ensure operational efficiency. This involves executing devised business strategies to elevate operational effectiveness and achieve organisational objectives. Additionally, you will lead daily huddles with stakeholders from Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Ambulance Service, Retrieval Services Queensland, and Queensland Health, fostering clear communication and collaborative efforts.

Your role will also entail identifying opportunities for process enhancement, implementing solutions to improve efficiency, and initiating and managing projects aligned with business goals. Furthermore, maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and cultivate beneficial partnerships will be essential. Compliance with legal regulations and internal policies, as well as effective risk management, will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Lastly, you will provide regular reports to senior management on operational status, challenges, and accomplishments.

The successful person
To excel in this role, you will need experience in patient flow / patient flow management, and exceptional interpersonal skills and adeptness in strategic written communication, enabling you to engage with and influence various stakeholders while fostering productive relationships and networks. Your record of accomplishment should demonstrate leadership in projects or initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare service delivery.

Moreover, you should possess advanced project management capabilities, including the establishment of robust governance structures, task definition, prioritization, and effective coordination to meet deadlines consistently. Your experience should highlight successful outcomes sustained over time, alongside advanced expertise in process improvement, implementation, and evaluation methodologies within the healthcare sector.
