This role within Koala, Cardiac Surgery Ward will allow you to ensure positive health outcomes for patients through your ability to integrate nursing health care knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective, evidence-based nursing care. What you Will Achieve Clinical competence: Provides and ensures clinical nursing is delivered competently with the goal for excellence in nursing care. Classification; YP3 - YP9 (base salary $71,333.60 - 95,378.40 per annum, plus superannuation) Your Skills and Experience Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA). Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP). Employees are required to maintain compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure. About the Department - Koala Ward, Cardiac Surgery Koala ward is a 30-bed unit providing specialist care to children ranging from neonates to 18yrs, with cardiac and renal conditions with a ranging acuity including high dependency and special care nursery patients. Our patients admitted to Koala Ward come from all over Victoria, Australia and Overseas to receive specialist cardiac treatments including cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, medical therapies and electrophysiology and specialist renal treatments including medical and surgical management, renal transplant, and peritoneal dialysis.
