About the role They are looking for someone who's highly motivated , enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude towards all tasks, ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team. They are a growing practice so a bubbly personality is a must as well as the ability to think on your feet who's able to do the following tasks in Wollongong, NSW. The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients, through: Immunisations and other injections, Triage Wound management, Chronic disease management, ECGs Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance. Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries Assisting with telehealth consultations. Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation. Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment Implementing and practicing infection control Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties. In addition, the candidate must also provide the following; Current Police Check Current AHPRA registration Current Working with Children clearance Current First Aid/CPR certificate Immunisation Record Driving licences or photo ID Use of Best Practice programs preferred Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A caring and collaborative approach to patient care Proven multi-tasking, problem-solving and time management skills Essential Qualificatiions Appropriate tertiary qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Registration in Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Current professional indemnity insurance. Current driver’s licence. Minimum of one-year nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role. Experience with specific social groups serviced by practice, such as adolescents, aged care, migrant or refuge groups, Aboriginals and Torres Straight islanders, etc. Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women’s Health Certificate, Diabetes, Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification/education. Skills & Competencies Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face. Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience. Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally. Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner. Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members. Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
