Job Description - Registered Psychiatric Nurse

To be Successful:

Current AHPRA registration without restrictions or conditions.

Bachelor's degree or diploma in nursing.

Minimum of 12 months experience in a hospital setting.

Post-graduate in Mental Health or 12 months recent experience working in Mental Health.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

At Ontime, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health.About you:As a Mental Health Nurse in our corrections team, you will play a critical role in well equiped and supported primary health clinics located within corrrections facilities in Melbourne. You will be providing comprehensive care as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing assessments, and providing wound care.

Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure quality patient care.

Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Essential Criteria:

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is not essential but highly desirable
