A stunning architectural feat, the new  1 Hotel & Homes   is located on the banks of the Yarra River in Melbourne’s CBD. Clad in a mesmerising composition of reflective glass panes, the hotel mirrors the dynamic and changing nature of the Yarra River, immersing guests in the beauty of the locale and bringing nature into the hotel with an abundance of light, interior design, and art. The Hotel has 277 guestrooms, and the Homes incorporates 114 residences. Next to the hotel is Seafarers Rest, a new public park with activations and events.

Situated on the final piece of Melbourne’s original waterfront, the 18-floor 1 Hotel & Homes enjoys uninterrupted views of Melbourne’s Yarra River and benefits from stunning views of Melbourne’s CBD skyline.

Our event centre is positioned on the banks of the Yarra River with large windows creating an inviting space where light and sound are controlled with state-of-the-art intuitive technology. The rooms can be configured as one large space to cater up to 650 guests or split. Our Guests will meet & mingle in flexible spaces that flow seamlessly from social to private & indoor to out.

We’re currently recruiting a seasoned and highly ambitious,   Director of MICE Sales   for  1 Hotel & Homes Melbourne , you are an extraordinary leader who isn't afraid to take calculated risks and develop solutions, you're a natural at relationship building, and a sharp numbers person; can build, review and analyse RFP’s, contracts, drive measurable results and increase total revenue through your industry networks across the Groups and Meeting market segment.

About you...

• Passionate pro-active sales leader with 6+ years of progressive experience within the MICE Segment.
• Comes with experience within the Melbourne Market within Groups and Convention ecosystem
• Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
• Previous experience in a pre-opening is highly desired.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that resonate with our people-focused ethos.
• A resolute commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
• A visionary outlook, equipped with the ability to craft a thriving MICE sales function from its very foundation.
