As a fraud investigator, you'll proactively detect and investigate all forms of financial crime and serious misconduct impacting the AUSPAC business. Providing high-quality Line 2 oversight and expert advice, you'll empower our business to combat fraud effectively and prevent future incidents. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct end-to-end investigations into suspected fraudulent activities involving various stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigation reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management review and potential disciplinary or legal action.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance QBE's fraud detection and prevention capabilities.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies to facilitate timely reporting and resolution of fraud matters impacting QBE.
  • Proactively identify and recommend measures to address control weaknesses and reduce vulnerabilities to financial crime.
  • Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2 interviews (either face-to-face or online via Teams), and background checks.

About you


Join QBE as a Fraud Investigator if you bring a Certificate III or IV in Investigative Services or equivalent, coupled with extensive experience in investigation or dispute resolution roles within the insurance sector. Your adeptness with Advanced Microsoft Excel and coding languages like SQL and DAX is desirable. along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Your meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to accuracy in investigations, sets you apart. Preferred candidates will have a strong grasp of fraud detection methodologies in finance, familiarity with insurance industry dynamics, including regulatory frameworks, and a solid understanding of privacy laws.
