Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced People & Compliance Coordinator who is people focused and whose values align to our organisation to assist in leading the HR functions for the eight aquatic and leisure facilities across Mildura Rural City Council, supporting close to 140 employees.

This opportunity is perfect for someone wanting to further grow their HR experience as you will have the support of a People & Culture Manager who will help develop you in any required areas.

The People & Compliance Coordinator will ensure the efficient administration of people and compliance functions for Aligned Leisure. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead engagement activities to enhance team culture and build a more engaged workforce.
• Lead the recruitment activities across all Departments from advertising to contract generation and induction.
• Take ownership of all compliance requirements to ensure employees meet the required qualifications and training.
• Take ownership of payroll checks and liaise with the Payroll Team to process fortnightly payroll.
• Work with Heads of Department to manage team performance, including performance management where required.
• Handle any ad-hoc employee related administrative work.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

• 2-3 years experience and qualifications in business, finance or human resources (Advantageous, but not essential)
• Proven experience managing a high volume of work
• Proven experience handling employee relation complaints/investigations
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to be agile and move between tasks quickly
• The position will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks such as a Police Check and must maintain a current working with children check
• The successful applicant must hold or be willing to attain first aid and CPR qualifications
