Primary Objective

The Electrical Engineer at ACLE contributes to the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of solar farm projects. Working under the guidance of the Principal Engineer, this role focuses on applying engineering principles to ensure the successful development and operation of efficient and sustainable solar energy systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed designs and layouts for electrical systems in solar farms and BESS projects, considering factors such as panel arrangement, electrical components, and grid integration.
• Determine the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines, and other equipment for solar farms, BESS projects, and power stations, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Organize and manage resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances, and equipment for solar farms, BESS projects, and power stations, optimizing procurement processes and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish delivery and installation schedules for machines, switchgear, cables, and fittings for solar farms, BESS projects, and power stations, coordinating with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely project execution.
• Conduct technical analyses, simulations, and modeling to assess the performance, efficiency, and feasibility of electrical systems in solar farms, BESS projects, and power stations, ensuring optimal energy production and system reliability.
• Assist in the procurement and installation of electrical components for solar farms and BESS projects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to the performance of electrical systems in solar farms and BESS projects, contributing to the optimization and troubleshooting of renewable energy installations.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, calculations, and project updates for solar farms and BESS projects to facilitate project tracking, compliance, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in quality control checks and inspections to ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of electrical installations in solar farms and BESS projects.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, environmental experts, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution and coordination in solar farms and BESS projects.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments in renewable energy and electrical engineering, proposing innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes in solar farms and BESS projects.
• Identify technical issues within electrical systems in solar farms and BESS projects and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and implement effective solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Adhere to safety protocols, codes, and regulations governing electrical systems in solar farms and BESS projects, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar farms and BESS projects.
• Experience in renewable energy technologies, electrical system design, and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with engineering software tools, such as CAD, simulation software, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data and provide insights for system improvements.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and safety regulations relevant to solar farms and BESS projects.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate within the engineering team and communicate technical information.

Desirable

• Practical experience in solar farms, BESS projects, or related fields.
• Proficiency in utilizing specialized software for electrical system design and analysis.
• Familiarity with renewable energy incentive programs, grants, and policies.
• Possession of certification in renewable energy or relevant engineering disciplines.
