Job Description - HR Officer

Located at Virginia, Brisbane, Glass Outlet is recognized Australia wide as a leader in the wholesale supply of glass, aluminum fencing, balustrading, aluminum screening, shower screens and accessories. Other distribution depots are located in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Officer is responsible for a broad range of general human resource functions.

In this role, you will undertake a broad range of human resources (HR) duties and administrative functions. This role offers opportunities for development and advancement as you grow within the company. The ideal candidate will possess a background in HR, strong administrative and communication skills, and demonstrate initiative by confidently taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain highly effective collaborative relationships with all internal stakeholders to provide and engender support for HR strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Process HR service requests promptly and with high attention to detail including, but not limited to end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employment contracts, employment variations, and other HR generalist administration duties.
  • Maintain and enhance HR systems and act as systems administrator for the HRIS (Employment Hero) & LMS (GO1), and ensure workflows, employee data/details, and reporting lines (organisation chart) for all employees are current and up to date.
  • Coordinate training programs, including scheduling sessions and tracking attendance.
  • Assist with the development of training materials and resources.
  • Working with the HR Manager to develop, document and maintain HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Providing administrative support in HR services and workplace relations matters.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance on all WHS matters.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service for the business by ensuring timely and professional responses to HR queries.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, or related business discipline.
  • Demonstrated HR Generalist experience and sound knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence, lead, coach and develop others.
  • The ability to facilitate and foster productive working relationships.
  • Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
