About the Role
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) seeks two dynamic individuals to join the School of Computing and Information Systems (CIS) with expertise in human-computer interaction, innovative interactive systems, or human-centered AI interaction. This role offers a substantive position within CIS, providing an opportunity to collaborate with a world-class research group and esteemed colleagues in computer science, artificial intelligence, and information systems. Ideal candidates will be early or mid-career scholars with a strong track record of publishing in renowned conferences and journals such as ACM CHI, UIST, IUI, and IMWUT, aiming to become leaders in the field of human-computer interaction.

Who We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you would be a dynamic and motivated individual with expertise in human-computer interaction. You should have a strong academic background and be an early or mid-career scholar with a track record of publishing in reputable conferences and journals, while also possessing good teaching skills across various technical subjects in human-computer interaction and CIS. Additionally, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with university staff, building networks with industry and researchers, and fostering teamwork within a diverse environment.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
