Manager - Corporate Finance (Brisbane or Perth)

The KPMG Debt Advisory team sits within Corporate Finance and is part of our larger national Deal Advisory group. This group is dedicated to assisting clients to find and drive value throughout the deal and transformation lifecycle, from strategy through to deal execution and post deal implementation.

Our Debt Advisory team focuses on providing independent financial advisory services and financing options across a range of transactions for greenfield and brownfield projects, established corporates, financial services companies, real estate capital raising and advice for government organisations. Our team has the capability to deliver funding solutions from multiple capital providers including bank and non-bank lenders, the preparation of supporting materials and direct negotiations with financiers to support their capital raising activities in the market.

Your Opportunity – Manager (Brisbane or Perth)

This national team is growing, with an opportunity for a Manager in either Perth or Brisbane who is seeking a role with scope to cover transactions and strategy across Australia. This team has a strong focus on Project Finance and portfolio transactions in the Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure sectors.

You will (ideally) bring a project finance, infrastructure advisory, or institutional banking background and will support the team’s national strategy by:

  • Demonstrating enthusiasm for, or recent experience in, financial advisory or deal environment.
  • Applying your experience in corporate finance across a broad range of capital products and situations.
  • Building and using financial models and financial analysis for complex transactions across a variety of sectors.
  • Supporting the delivery of transactions via project management activities and interacting with clients, financiers, and legal advisors.
  • Identifying issues, generating options, and supporting our recommendations to clients.
  • Assisting with the preparation of transaction deliverables including teaser documents, information memorandums, financial models, term sheets and other reports and presentations.

We take an advisory approach in all that we do and work closely with our Transaction Services, Valuations and, Turnaround and Restructuring teammates in Deal Advisory. We also partner and connect with industry professionals from our Infrastructure, Assets and Places group, which has over 700 infrastructure advisory specialists. These connections are a key and exciting component of the growth and learning opportunities within KPMG.

Our Deal Advisory team are part of our global KPMG network, with the ability to derive global industry insights, research, and market data as well leveraging client relationships in various geographies.

  • Experience or a strong interest in financial advisory in a professional services environment.
  • Recent experiences in company or project analysis and structuring of project finance and / or structured lending transactions.

    qualifications

    . Completion, or in progress, of relevant post-graduate studies (e.g., CA or CFA) will be viewed favourably.
  • Communication, report writing and presentation skills suitable for client / marketing delivery.
  • An appetite and enthusiasm for corporate finance with a work ethic and a motivation to achieve best outcomes for clients, KPMG, and yourself.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to support client & project data needs.
  • A team mindset with a willingness to learn, attention to detail and the ability to work to timelines.
