The Passenger Transport Strategy and Technology Branch of Translink division, is responsible for designing, delivering, and promoting great public transport customer experiences across Queensland. In addition to leading Translink's customer functions, our branch is charged with delivering customer focused technology projects including the successful program management, delivery and implementation of the multi-year Smart Ticketing and Queensland School Ticketing Projects and the delivery of technology projects governed by the Technology & Systems Sub-group. In this role you will be part of a passionate and collaborative team, working in a fastpaced environment of project delivery and routine operations to make a difference in the lives of public transport customers.
In the role of Program Support Officer, you will support the Project Director (Systems and Engineering) by providing efficient and effective business and program support services in a complex technical environment. This will include, providing quality administrative assistance, resolving issues, and implementing action plans. Additionally, you'll work with the broader team and closely with Translink PTST Administrative team to enhance workflows and streamline operations.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Business support and administrative services for timely, professional, and confidential executive administrative support including managing calendar and appointments for Project Director, booking travel and accommodation.
• Coordinate Smart Ticketing and Systems and Engineering meetings, ensuring high-quality paperwork preparation, room bookings, attendee management, and document management in accordance with departmental and program standards.
• Human Resources and Procurement administration of on-boarding and offboarding including providing informative support about induction and timesheet management; preparing paperwork/documentation for procurement of office equipment and so on.
• Finance activities including administering program expenditure, invoices, accounts receivable ensuring compliance with departmental financial standards and timeframes.
• Responsively address ad-hoc support requests, escalating to the Project Director (Systems and Engineering) when necessary, to efficiently manage high-priority issues and provide relevant background information to the appropriate officer for action. Additionally, liaise with management, senior executives, suppliers, and the Program team as needed to advance work tasks and activities.

• Experience in a similar role within a Queensland Government organisation.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software suite.
• Collaborate with the team in a proactive and positive way to build relationships and support the section priorities and outcomes.
• Experience in travel arrangements and financial management, including booking and reconciliation tasks.
