Position Overview: We are looking for an ICT Support Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing technical support to our team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to our team members on IT-related issues during events and exhibitions, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with event planners and coordinators to assess IT requirements for upcoming events and exhibitions.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and systems at event venues, including audio-visual equipment, Wi-Fi networks, and registration systems.
- Monitor IT infrastructure during events to identify and resolve any issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate IT-related services for events, such as internet connectivity and technical support.
- Document IT support activities and maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, configurations, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide training and support to event staff on the use of IT equipment and systems, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices in event technology, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements to our IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Australian employment setting
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and protocols
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
