Job Description - Business Development Manager - Urgent Hire

We are looking to hire a competitive Business Development Manager to join our growing team at Ofload in Sydney.

Our mission at Ofload is to achieve zero waste in trucking by digitising the transport industry.

In Australia, currently 30% of trucks drive empty and a further 50% are underutilised amounting to mass inefficiency and detrimental environmental impacts. Since 2020 we have scaled to a team of over 100, removed nearly 5 million empty kilometres from our roads. and have planted over 11 000 trees to offset our carbon footprint in partnership with One Tree Planted.

In 2022, we supercharged our growth through the acquisition of logistics experts CIA Logistics, raised $60m in Series B funding and were recognised by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia’s Most Innovative Companies.

The Role

This newly created role sits within our commercial team, which is an essential part of the future growth success of Ofload. We are Ofload’s growth engine and our focus is to share our technological capabilities to freight owners throughout Australia.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the growth of Ofload’s client portfolio, continually seeking opportunities to grow our business, with specific focus on share of wallet growth.
  • Build strong ongoing relationships with our clients at all levels of their business, understanding their pain points and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Client Management - Manage allocated portfolio of customers, manage MBRs, QBRs and build joint development plans to grow the business.
  • Engage in critical analysis of our client engagements, offer insights and propose strategies in order to improve performance.
  • Interpret Ofload’s growth strategies, and work collaboratively with the product and operational department to achieve this.
  • Technological adaptability - understanding complex challenges and leveraging solutions to solve these challenges.

What You’ll Bring

  • You are a hunter with strong relationship building capabilities.
  • You are passionate about the industry and solving challenges in the supply chain space.
  • You have a strong sense of ownership, tenacity and commitment.
  • You have B2B sales experience in the supply chain space.
  • You have an understanding of how the sales process works.
  • You are adaptable to work in a startup environment where things change quickly!
