Job Description

SGS is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical, operational, and administrative support for the Electrical team in both site and office settings. This is a permanent full-time permanent opportunity, Malaga WA based.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Relay testing, maintenance, breakdown repair, and testing of switchgear, transformers, switchboards, and circuit breakers, adhering to external customer directives, specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Implementation of tasks as defined by the Electrical Engineering, Maintenance, Testing, Field Manager(s) in accordance with all associated statutory regulations and standards in relation to:
• Earth Grid testing
• Transformer, Breaker and Cable.
• Thermography and Corona Inspection
• Low Voltage and High Voltage Electrical equipment Fault find, Testing, repairs and maintenance
• Experience reading single line diagrams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Support the Business Manager and the team in operation/logistics and coordination of projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Current WA C Class Drivers License.
• Ability to learn HV/LV Power Systems testing and commissioning and perform that onsite.
• Proven Electrical knowledge.
• Beginner level of Experience with MV and HV Switchgear, Transformers, HV Cables, Switchboards, Circuit Breakers will be required.
• Experience reading single line diagrams.
• Frequent travel within Western Australia, Northern Territory and some International travel required.
