Job Description - Logistics Coordinator

LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

As New Aim's Logistics Coordinator you would be responsible for all activities associated with outbound operations and distribution in Australia. The position holder will ensure the efficient utilization of warehouse facilities and liaising with local freight companies to ensure timely, accurate and secure distribution for New Aim products.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day distribution activities, coordinating with external couriers for timely parcel dispatch.
  • Review historical and forecast data for promotion event freight collection plan. Advise the management team on the most cost-effective transport method, provide the required rate, and ensure timely parcel dispatch.
  • Develop and implement procedures related to the distribution of New Aim’s products.
  • Communicate with carriers and provide interpretation of rate cards to internal stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the carriers’ current rate card, improve the accuracy of postage estimations, and reduce margin loss effectively.
  • Review and analysis weekly carrier invoices, identify discrepancies and collaborate with carriers and internal stakeholders to address and maintain them with the target discrepancies threshold.
  • Develop new carrier integration by reviewing contracts for accuracy and clarity and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead and develop key indicators for all carriers-carrier performance management.
  • Establish the claim process where problems may have arisen and where negotiation is needed and resolve all transport-related issues that may arise in the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Commerce
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping and local courier network and systems
  • Advanced analytical skills in data
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Possess the highest standard of ethics, confidentiality and professionalism
  • High level of commercial term and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail with ability to troubleshoots and identify any potential risks in contracts and agreements
  • Good logical thinking and the ability to plan ahead and deal with unexpected challenges.
