Our Queensland Metals business operates multiple mining operations and processing plants, plus port and logistics operations.

We currently have positions vacant for Mining Engineers in the Short and mid Term Planning department. Reporting to the Superintendent –Mine Planning, you shall convert the conceptual mining plan into an effective budgeted operational plan, working a timeframe of 0-24 months.

This is a wonderful opportunity to expand your horizons working across multiple sites as a conduit between strategy and execution.

The successful applicants will have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with your peers and other teams
• Knowledge of underground metalliferous mining
• Experience working with Scheduling software packages
• Have a passion for Scheduling
• Mine Planning experience in the Short - Term, Scheduling and Mid - Term space.
• Worked with an Operational Team Underground and have an understanding of Operational sequencing of activities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology or similar
• Strong commercial acumen / budgeting in a mining context will be well regarded
• Experience in Deswik highly desirable, however we will invest in training.
