About the team

Supply Chain makes life easier, safer and more sustainable across our network. Our team works with thousands of trusted businesses every day to bring together our suppliers, distribution centres and stores. By keeping those relationships strong and processes running smoothly, we're able to maintain the availability and quality of our products for our customers.

We're looking for an exceptional Planning and Resource Analyst to join our teams at the Eastern Creek DC

About the role

You are the primary contact for all Planning-related matters with regard to system optimisation of all resources across a DC that operates on a 24-hour basis. In order to achieve this outcome you will manage all casual resources to ensure each shift is adequately resourced to meet picking targets without breaching equipment constraints within the most cost-effective shift. This role is pivotal in compiling all weekly casual pick-performance data, which is critical in determining maximum efficiency for more costly shifts. You are the gate-keeper for ensuring all shifts utilise available system tools to efficiently manage operational exceptions on the day. The Analyst is responsible for ensuring Public Holiday leave approvals are managed in line with the sites Enterprise Agreement (EA).

You will report to the Planning Manager to ensure the store delivery rosters are reviewed appropriately to maximise DC efficiencies and deliver to the customer within the service level agreement.

Other ways you can make an impact within the Planning Team include:

  • Liaising and working collaboratively with our transport partners
  • Assisting key stakeholders in event execution
  • Oversee the planning and forecasting of shifts, which include team member functionality
  • Analyse data to provide information and reports that support timely decision making and the cost-effective allocation of resources
  • Maintain the planning / roster tools to support DC processes and ensure KPIs are met
  • Supporting the planning, implementation and monitoring of site initiatives to improve service quality and reduce costs

About you and your skills

You will have:

  • The ability to plan shifts in a large, complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability in using excel as an enabler of efficiency in a high process driven environment
  • Demonstrated experience in overall business unit management and support
  • A demonstrated capability in continuous improvement and change management
  • The passion to communicate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, coupled with the ability to influence and present to them
  • A natural drive to deliver positive results within a changing environment
  • Managing and understanding the complexity of a logistics environment, inclusive of end to end processes (from inbound to outbound)
  • A level of comfort utilising MS Excel to analyse and manipulate data, as well as produce insightful reports
