Join Our Team: Business Development Manager at Nautical Shipping

About Us: Nautical Shipping, a dynamic division of the Leeward Group of Companies, is seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth and market expansion. As a pivotal member of our Multimodal Division, you will be instrumental in enhancing our market share, forging strong customer relationships, and seizing business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Expansion: Improve our market share through strategic planning and execution.

• Customer Relationships: Build and manage key customer relationships, ensuring service quality and fostering repeat business.

• Opportunity Identification: Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, including tenders and BCOs.

• Customer Base Growth: Proactively target key industries to establish a solid customer base and secure new and repeat business.

• Market Knowledge: Maintain an extensive understanding of market conditions to initiate contact and develop opportunities in local and regional areas.

• Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate rates with customers to close deals.

• Networking: Effectively network within the industry to meet key contacts and promote our services.

Who You Are:

• A self-starter with at least 5 years of industry sales and business development experience, preferably in RO-RO, Break Bulk, Project Cargo, and Logistics Sales.

• A confident, tenacious individual who thrives on building relationships and networks.

• A passionate sales professional fired up by generating leads and securing new business.

• An out-of-the-box thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.

• A detail-oriented person with exceptional time management and computer skills.

• A lifelong learner with a passion for freight, logistics, and shipping.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Familiarity with Cargowise One is beneficial.

• Business or industry qualification is favourable.
