Accountant - - Days Per Week

You will drive the accounting and financial activities of the company including the delivery of high quality, efficient and accurate financial and management reporting.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day general accounting tasks, month-end close duties, account reconciliations and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

Our client is a global manufacturing business in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Description

• Management of accounts payable/receivable.
• Management of bank reconciliation process.
• Management of credit card transaction processing and reconciliation.
• Liaise with external organisations that provide financial related services.
• Compliance with government/tax time-based reporting requirements.
• Provision of fully audited accounts within agreed time frames from year-end.
• Preparation and processing of fortnightly payroll accurately and in accordance with employment law and standards.

Profile

• Recently qualified CPA or pursuing this
• Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or similar
• Assembly or Manufacturing business knowledge or experience, desirable.
• 3-5 years experience in in Accounting/Finance roles
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, GST Law, and Corporations Act regulations.
• Advanced IT skills - familiarity with ERP management software (SAP B1 ideal), Power BI and MS Excel.
