Control systems engineer

As a Resin Control Systems Engineer, you will report to the Resin Plant Manager and the role will be based in Clayton. You will manage safe and efficient operation of the computer-controlled resin manufacturing plant by maintaining and troubleshooting and improving the DCS process control system and the peripheral devices. Responsibilities

• Main achievements: Maintain and troubleshoot and improve the Resin Plant DCS process control system and the peripheral devices.
• Deliverables: Safe and efficient operation of the computer-controlled resin manufacturing plant.
  

Goals:

• Monitor and reduce alarms produced in the plant.
• Where required make hardware and software modifications to achieve manufacturing goals.
• Train new operators on the simulator and conduct refresher training.
• Provide back up support for the Resin Chemist.
• Partake in risk assessments, HAZOPs and reviews where required for Resin Plant changes.
• Areas of work: Resin plant and associated services.
• Team Structure Resin Plant Manager, Resin Chemist, Process Engineer, Resin Control Systems Engineer.
  

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in similar kind of role.
• Previous experience:
  • Experience in a computer-controlled manufacturing plant, petrochemical.
  • Manage a DCS.
• Education (required) Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering
