About Us:

De Goey Contractors are industry experts in fabrication, protective coating, process piping and Concrete remediation, in all aspects of coal mining & terminal maintenance projects, port maintenance, manufacturing and labour hire.

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Corrosion Technician to join our team to oversee a 2 year + concrete remediation project, with an immediate start. Project Hours are 48hrs per week Monday – Friday + Shutdown work as required.

This permanent full-time position will be based at BMA Hay Point and Mackay residents are encouraged to apply as there is no accommodation provided for this position. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

- Pre-Commission testing cathodic protection systems.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement necessary repairs and improvements.

- Keep accurate records of all work performed and submit detailed reports.

- Oversee Installation of Cathodic Protection System.

- Accurately maintain ITP’s, Red line Mark Up’s and MDR’s.

- Previous experience in all aspect of Concrete Remediation.

- Exposure and understanding of Cathodic Protection installation and testing.

Candidates will require the following qualifications and experience:

• Drivers Licence

• White Card

• Standard 11 is desirable.

• Hay Point induction is desirable.

• Section 6 Hay Point medical or Section 4 CBM is desirable.
