Lead mechanical drafter

Verve Partners are supporting a leading provider of fully engineered turnkey solutions for bulk material handling projects, catering to a global clientele. Established over three decades ago, they specialise in manufacturing and delivering complex projects, along with providing comprehensive on-site services. The Opportunity To support their expansion, they are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Draftsperson to lead their drafting team. This role offers a full-time permanent position within their design and manufacturing setup. Responsibilities

• Leading the drafting team in the development of bulk materials handling equipment designs utilising Inventor/Solidworks and Vault.
• Establishing and refining drafting procedures and frameworks within the engineering department.
• Overseeing and allocating tasks to the drafting team to ensure project completion.
• Ensuring meticulous adherence to drafting protocols for every project, including design reviews, drawing validations, and issuance for manufacturing.
• Staying abreast of industry equipment functionalities and seeking opportunities to enhance site service offerings.
  

The Candidate: You will have a talent for fostering relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate should exhibit keen attention to detail, exceptional organisational capabilities, and a knack for identifying and implementing process enhancements within the design and engineering teams.

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity, preferably within bulk material handling or heavy industrial/mining sectors.
• Tertiary qualifications in Drafting, Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software (e.g., Inventor).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated expertise in drawing and design.
