We are seeking highly qualified Project Engineer to join our
team on a full time and permanent basis
POSITION
PURPOSE
The Project Engineer will coordinate all technical and
operational activities on assigned projects, with safety in the forefront, to
ensure delivery on time and in full to the required budget and specification.
This role will provide engineering services and project management support.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE
NOT LIMITED TO
- Coordinate project plans including timelines, key
milestones, budgets and resource requirements.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders ensuring that
expectations are known, managed and fulfilled within the project constraints.
- Define and implement project controls, ensuring
effective management and transparency.
- Carry out responsible and varied engineering
assignments, requiring general familiarity with a broad field of engineering
and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work on other professional fields.
- Solve problems by use of combinations of standard
procedures, modifications of standard procedures, or methods developed in
previous work assignments.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians or to
engineers and/or supervise staff assigned to work on a common project.
- Via the Engineering Manager, control engineering input
to ensure efficient engineering output, that is safe, complies with
legislation, complies with the stated design specification and is controlled to
meet both cost and schedule (fit for purpose).
- Establish work measurement programs and analyse work
samples to develop standards for labour utilisation.
- Analyse workforce utilisation, facility layout,
operational data and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker
and equipment efficiencies.
- Design mechanical equipment, machines, components,
products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction.
- Develop specifications for manufacture, and
determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout
of plant and systems.
- Establishing standards and policies for installation,
modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance according
to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and
equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys, and
maintenance schedules.
- Work with project teams across the business and build
a project culture focused on collaboration, value delivery and satisfying
stakeholder needs.
- Refers to RPC Project Manager, Engineering Manager or
other subject matter experts at RPC or in the client organisation, difficult,
complex or unusual matters for resolutions or decisions.
- Identify and manage potential hazards, implementing
corrective actions, and enforcing compliance with relevant safety regulations.
SKILLS,
QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Bachelor degree in engineering or higher qualification
in the relevant field.
- 2 years’ experience in a relevant engineering or
manufacturing function.
- Proven ability to project-manage small to medium sized
projects.
- Excellent understanding of project management
methodologies and best practices.
Desirable
- Membership in good standing of a professional
institution/association.
- 3D CAD Modeling and 2D drawing

Salary: $98,250 per annum inclusive of Super
