Your new company
Our client is one of Australia's market Leading Energy companies who work with making, importing and delivering the fuels, lubricants, chemicals and bitumen for some major Tier 1 clients. They are an exclusive licensee of a Major provider and supply around a quarter of Australia's fuel through their extensive network of over 1,250 service stations and commercial partnerships with the biggest Australian companies in the aviation, marine, transport, resources, construction, and manufacturing industries. They are looking to engage a Project Manager for their Energy Supply Chain unit to ensure projects deliver safe quality outcomes and are executed in accordance with company standards.





Your new role
This position supports key Engineering, Major Maintenance, Capital and unplanned Projects for their Energy Supply Chain unit. Throughout the role you will be supporting the project leadership team so that Project Definition and Implementation phases through to completion and hand-over meet requirements of the development strategy and plan. You will also be responsible for the following:

• Support compliance with project control requirements, including change and risk management.
• Ensure Environment, Health and Safety performance targets are met during the management of projects. - Manage EHS risks, promote hazard awareness and pro-active reporting
• Report on all major project issues/status to the Senior Project Manager as required.
• Maintain regular communications with key Project, Asset and other managers in relation to activities that may affect overall project delivery.
• Optimise performance and commitment, reducing project costs, while not sacrificing EHS, integrity, operability and project deliverables.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will ideally be experience in project management/ project engineering across industrial environments and demonstrate experience managing both brownfield and greenfield projects. You will have a degree in an engineering field, with experience in safety performance management, application of technical standards, project costing and management, planning and monitoring project schedules and experience in managing multiple projects, contractors and contracts. In addition, you will also have some construction management experience within a downstream environment.
