About this opportunity

Quality and Food Safety Responsibilities

• To assist QA Manager where required; i.e conduct internal system and food safety audits

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection and testing of finished product in accordance with the specification, as required.
• Roving production inspection and testing, and maintenance of daily QC records for all products produced.
• Report OOS (Out of Specification) results and recommend solution to improve quality performance
• Assist with corrective and preventative action implementation for product and system non-conformance
• Work with the shift Supervisor to rectify and eliminate product non-conformances
• Act as supervisor / shift leader when required

Detail Responsibilities

• Shift handover
• Calibration checks of equipment
• Recording quality specifications in SAP
• Completing all relevant QA checks as per customer requirements
• Assist in resolving customer complaints
• Recommend efficient work methods during rework
• Training of employees as required
• Quarantine non-conforming product when out of spec
• Attend Quality Department meetings when required
• Maintain inventory of consumables / labels

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years experience in Quality
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to use inspection and test equipment
