Quality control laboratory technician

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager your role with be interesting and will evolve as the onsite QC Laboratory continues to expand:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining equipment calibration schedule, daily monitoring as well as maintaining stability sampling and testing systems
• Perform regular maintenance on equipment.
• Utilise HPLC/UPLC, FTIR and other equipment
• Testing of both final product and raw materials
• Maintaining safe chemical storage, handling, and disposal, whilst following relevant work instructions.
• Handling the receiving, labelling, storage, stocktaking and ordering of various reagents and standards, and communicating with various suppliers. 
• Administrative, data entry and archiving tasks
• Liaise with suppliers
• Troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance of instruments.

To be successful in acquiring this role you need the following skills and attributes:

• Possess general working knowledge of an analytical laboratory.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Professional chemistry or microbiology competency highly regarded. 
• Good computer skills e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. 
• Understanding of QC testing requirements. 
• Ability to develop and nurture relationships/partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skill is crucial
