Job Description - Chief Marketing Officer

Our client is an industry leader, providing heavy industrial products that service mining, logistics, marine and agriculture sectors. Their ongoing mission is to offer their valued customers innovation, quality, efficiency and longevity to their fleet management and performance.

Their commitment to supplying fit for purpose equipment brings a strong customer focused culture to the organisation and due to recent growth and acquisitions, this has given the business an even greater global footprint.

They are seeking the expertise of a Chief Marketing Officer to join the leadership team with the objective to drive growth by creating and managing marketing strategies that enhances brand awareness, market positioning, enterprise value and generate leads for the account management and business development teams across the group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management and leadership of the marketing strategy in collaboration with Directors
  • Management of the marketing team, budgets, revenue and KPI’s
  • Ensure marketing activity is focused on brand awareness that drives new customer lead generation.
  • Develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments utilising existing research and strategies.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging support and driving collaboration both internally and externally, including agencies and freelancers.
  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to inform successful marketing strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, and recommendations on tactics.
  • Take ownership of all digital channels, including managing the website, expanding on current social platforms, writing SEO-optimized content, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting back.
  • Deliver supporting corporate collateral, including print.
  • Manage a small team, nurture and oversee their workload to optimize their growth and management of meeting and reporting cadence.
  • Management of CRM and all customer and prospect data
  • Work closely with the account management and business development teams on developing sales campaigns/activity to engage existing and new customer relationships.

To be successful in this role you would have a strong B2B marketing background, have excellent people management skills and a proven ability to drive international sales through effective marketing activities.

Your metrics driven approach coupled with excellent project management skills, digital and traditional marketing expertise and experience within heavy industry will ensure your ongoing success as the CMO for the group.
