The Compliance Analyst supports the Mozo financial comparison site team by providing a wide variety of functions to ensure we run our activities according to the standards expected of a licensed financial services company. This includes diverse tasks such as reviewing site and advertising materials, supporting our third party partners, continuous development of business policies, staff training, researching legal questions and working on projects.

We provide a supportive working environment and this person will work closely with both the Research Manager and Data Director to learn many aspects of the business and eventually take control of most compliance activities.

What you'll be doing...

Mozo is looking for someone to take on the day to day work that ensures that we remain compliant with all financial services and consumer regulations. This person will be comfortable reviewing content articles, marketing messages and other materials, working with people at all levels of the organisation to resolve compliance questions, advising on regulations and helping to ensure staff understand how regulations impact their work. Reporting to our Research and Compliance Manager, you will also create summaries of information for review by the compliance oversight group.

On the job training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop or consolidate their skills working within a business as a compliance professional.

We are interested in hearing from people with various levels of experience, whether you are looking to step across from a legal role into an in-house regulatory compliance function, or you already have compliance experience in an AFSL or ACL business and want to take more ownership.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

• You have an excellent command of English and can read and comprehend detailed documents. You understand how others could interpret words.

• You are meticulous with detail, organised and efficient, taking pride in the high quality and error-free work you produce.

• You are comfortable explaining your reasoning, and able to work with others to find solutions.
• You can pivot from reviewing an article about a specific financial product to drafting a risk management framework based on a reading of an ASIC guidance note.

• You have a solid understanding of legal principles. A good understanding of financial services regulation would be an advantage.
