PMY Intelligence is PMY’s advanced AI and Data Business Unit, composed of the Optic venue intelligence product as well as multiple Data, AI and Cloud products and services. Optic leverages AI and ML to deliver real-time and historical insights into venue, event, and customer behaviors. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing venue ecosystems, Optic includes modules for comprehensive spatial and patron analysis, transforming data from CCTV feeds, IoT sensors, and other digital sources into actionable insights.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Engineering, Intelligence will oversee the hardware, AI, data, and software engineering teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that drive operational excellence and enhance customer experiences. This role encompasses the Optic platform as well as other data and AI products and services. It requires a hands-on strategic leader with a strong technical background, a passion for data and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Management:

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, including hardware, AI, data, and software engineers.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with PMY’s vision and business goals.

Technical Strategy:

• Drive the technical vision and roadmap for PMY’s intelligence solutions, ensuring alignment with market needs and technological advancements.

• Lead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance the capabilities of OPTIC and other data and AI products.

• Ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of all intelligence platforms.

Product Development:

• Guide the development and enhancement of AI and ML models, data processing capabilities, and software applications.
• Oversee the continuous improvement of hardware components, including IoT sensors and CCTV integration.
• Collaborate with product management to align engineering efforts with customer needs and business objectives.

Operational Excellence:

• Implement best practices for software development, hardware deployment, and data management.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of all platforms.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to track and report on engineering performance and project outcomes.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the delivery of tailored solutions.
• Provide technical leadership in customer meetings and presentations.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business development efforts.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a focus on hardware, AI, data, and software.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex engineering projects from conception to delivery.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, data analytics, and software development.
• Experience with IoT sensor technology and CCTV systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
