Stanley College is an independent Institute of Higher Education and Registered Training Organisation. We have provided training to local and international students for over 12 years.
We specialise in courses that address current skills shortages for several industries: Information & Communication Technology, Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Community Services, Aged Care, Childhood Education & Care, Digital Marketing, Business, Leadership & Management.
Stanley College has 4 campuses, 3 based in Perth and 1 in Adelaide. We employ over 150 staff and have over 2000 students from over 42 countries.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, you will be providing sound HR advisory services to the faculty managers and employees across the organization. You will also be responsible for the handling of administrative documents such as: contracts of employment, position descriptions and policies and procedures. Additionally, this role will be coordinating new HR initiatives in line with the strategic vision of the organisation.
This dynamic, hands-on full time role requires a flexible, friendly and approachable professional who can coordinate HR related matters for around 185 staff members. The main duties of this role include the following:
• Coordinating the Recruitment and Selection process, ensuring it is effectively conducted and adheres to company policy.
• Providing assistance to all employees in employment related matters including leave management and interpretations of relevant Awards, contractual agreements and conditions of employment.
• Providing sound HR advice in employee relations and performance management matters.
• Ensuring Policies and Procedures are current, legally sound, reflect best practice and are reviewed every two years.
• Collaborating in new HR projects and initiatives.
• Maintaining and updating employee records in a confidential manner.
• Other duties as requested.
To be successful in this role the successful candidate will have:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a recognised area of Human Resource Management
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role/capacity
• Thorough understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR processes
• Exceptional written and spoken communication and relationship building skills
• Conflict resolution skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to change and be flexible in prioritising responsibilities
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
• Can work in a fast-paced environment
