Inventory Controller

About the role

An amazing opportunity is now available to join the Purchasing team based at our Chipping Norton manufacturing facility as an Inventory Controller.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role is responsible for executing inventory control measures to ensure stock levels are effectively and efficiently managed for the smooth and effective operation of the Manufacturing plant. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the warehouse and manufacturing plant’s inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
• Liaise and plan with approved vendors to arrange accurate and timely delivery of raw material and stock components, and resolve any quality-related issues..
• Manage and execute stock takes and cycle counts. This also includes managing shortages, excess and ageing stocks, and all inventory anomalies.
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to determine delivery requirements.
• Develop and/or improve inventory management procedures.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

• Previous experience in an inventory controller role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience using SAP.
• Knowledge of Advanced Excel Knowledge, comfortable with Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and complex formulas.
• High sense of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills - being written and verbal.
