About This Role As part of a newly formed team, you’ll be responsible for managing a calendar of funding opportunities and working with various stakeholders to research and write engaging, effective proposals and grant applications. You’ll enjoy working with a diverse range of people to research, understand and create compelling cases for funding and identify opportunities for collaboration across Queensland. You’re organised, process-driven and experienced writing structured, factual yet engaging content such as proposals, bids and impact and acquittal reporting. When you’re not writing, you’ll spend time staying abreast of the funding landscape and opportunities including local, state, and federal policy. If you’d like to use your writing superpowers to help ensure the sustainability of an important program of work across Queensland communities, this could be the job for you! About You You’re an experienced writer with a track record writing compelling content that effectively communicates and persuades. You’re a people person with strong interpersonal skills. You’re self motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload and time (and you never miss a deadline!). You enjoy research and gathering insights from conversations with others, as well as desk research and can analyse large amounts of information. You know the role of data and numbers in compelling content and can balance the analytical with the creative. You’re adaptable, flexible and can thrive in a busy working environment. You have a degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field and at least 4 years experience in a communications, marketing or fundraising environment. Interested? Great!
