YOUR ROLE AT LUNA

We are looking for a Marketing Manager whose role is designed to elevate LUNA’s visibility in the Startup and Venture Capital ecosystem, making it the go-to service provider for the industry, with a key focus on Digital Marketing, Partnerships, Community and Events.

In this position you will be responsible for driving effective marketing initiatives including owning digital assets and campaigns, partnerships that are mutually beneficial, and being the community and event champion. You will also assist in building the LUNA brand through awareness and engagement, by uplifting market presence. Additionally, you will manage LUNA activations and events.

This role is pivotal in forging strategic partnerships, nurturing and sourcing key relationships with stakeholders, and building a vibrant community around our brand.

Here’s a closer look at this exciting role:

Partnership Development:

  • Identify, manage and develop strategic partnerships with like-minded brands, organisations, and influencers in the startup and VC ecosystem.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute partnership initiatives effectively - including design, copy and all elements.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential partners through effective communication and networking.
  • Leverage partnerships to amplify our reach and new business pipeline development

Community Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and grow our community across various platforms, including digital, social, forums, and events.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with community and ecosystem members to build loyalty and advocacy.
  • Monitor community feedback and sentiments, and provide timely responses and support.
  • Manage online communities (Slack, Meetup and social channels) and support broader LUNA involvement in these communities to strengthen brand depth and reach.

Content Creation and Promotion:

  • Create compelling marketing materials to support partnership initiatives, activations and events. Design, invites, copywriting and amplification through omnichannel
  • Manage promotional activities and campaigns to drive awareness and engagement within the community.

Digital Marketing Management:

  • Manage and optimise digital marketing tools and platforms such as website, Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO initiatives, social media management - Meta/LinkedIn, email marketing and content management.

Brand Activations | Event Planning and Management:

  • Manage, organise and execute events, both online and offline, to drive connection with community and key partners.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, budgeting, and coordination of speakers and sponsors and campaign assets for go live.
  • Evaluate event success and provide insights for future improvements.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyse key performance metrics related to partnership initiatives and community building / engagement.
  • Prepare regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Use key insights to optimise strategies and improve overall performance for marketing objectives.

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration and satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for partner inquiries, requests, and feedback, and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders to align partnership and community initiatives with broader marketing and business goals.
  • Represent Luna professionally in external events, and conferences related to partnerships and community engagement.

Innovation and Growth:

  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve partnership and community engagement strategies.
  • Proactively explore new partnership opportunities, emerging platforms, and trends to expand our reach and impact.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and expansion within the existing community and partner ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop long-term strategic plans for partnership and community development.

THE SKILLS YOU BRING

You should apply if you:

  • Proven experience in partnerships, community, events management and planning.
  • At least 4-5+ years experience in a similar role and function.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, Website updates, Google Analytics, SEO, Canva, Video Editing, Humantix + more.
  • Startup and VC ecosystem expert, with industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Be an ambassador for LUNA in the ecosystem.
  • Are based in Melbourne
  • Are eligible to work in Australia.

It would be an added bonus if you have any of the following in your toolkit:

  • Existing ecosystem expert or deep supporter.
  • Design and copywriting skills.
  • Bonus points for Digital Marketing skills across Websites, Google Ads, SEO, Meta, Canva, MailChimp.
