Head office location: Fitzroy, Melbourne. A hybrid model is offered to combine working remotely and onsite with three days office and two days work from home. 

About the role :

Our Procurement Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to contract and negotiate hotel rates and value ads through our supplier network. You would be responsible for managing sales updates, inventory and contract terms and conditions. Duties will also include reporting to provide insights to increase revenue as well as ensuring Sportsnet is offering the best accommodation range in the market. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with all suppliers, review property performance and provide insights to increase revenue opportunities 
• Contract all accommodation options
• Procure tourism experiences and additional package inclusions
• Negotiation of rates and value ads
• Manage hotel sales updates and inventory
• Manage hotel cancellation and payment timeline
• Oversee site inspections of existing and new properties to ascertain suitability. 
• Ensure that rates, data, and information loaded into the reservation system is in line with the quality control standards 
• Support the product team with other tasks when required
• Work closely with the Product Reservations Coordinator 
• Demonstrate a sound ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced working environment 



The successful applicant will have:

• Ability to work well both autonomously and as part of a team 
• Ability to work to deadlines
• A passion for travel and sports

Applicants must have: 

• Minimum 3 years demonstrated, relevant experience in a similar role 
• Proven ability to exercise commercial judgement in the selection, negotiation and contracting of accommodation, experiences and other travel products/services 
• Inventory management
• General destination / travel knowledge
• Experience using Salesforce CRM (desirable but not essential)
