The Role The Queensland State Office manages the delivery of employment and skills programs. We are seeking candidates who are keen to make a difference through managing contracted service providers’ delivery to meet local labour market needs, and ultimately help clients upskill and secure sustained employment. Reporting to the senior Contract Manager you will work within a supportive team environment with flexible working conditions. As an APS 5 you will undertake key functions such as:  Program and contract management,  policy review and implementation,  local and regional stakeholder engagement, and  collecting place-based intelligence and strategic planning. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with interstate colleagues, National office, and cross-agencies, including State Government. Flexible working arrangements can include work from home, compressed or reduced hours and more.  Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities of the APS Level 5 may include:  Managing the performance and compliance of contracted service providers for various programs in accordance with contractual and legislative frameworks.  Maximise the effectiveness of employment and skills programs, and departmental and interagency initiatives. Actively participate in planning, project management, decision-making and solution brokering.  Managing and investigating complex performance and operational matters identified through monitoring activities such as data analysis and onsite visits, under limited direction. Supervising staff and building individual’s capability through coaching and performance feedback.  Providing support to our Ministers, and the department’s National Office teams, as required.  Qualifications and Education Year 12 or equivalent essential  Current Driver’s licence essential (overnight travel opportunities)  How to Apply Applicants are required to provide up to a one-and-a-half-page summary (no more than 750 wo rds) that outlines skills, knowledge, and experience and why you should be considered for this vacancy.
