An exciting opportunity exists in Woden Community Service, we are seeking an experienced Manager, Marketing and Communications with a proven track record in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies. We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including disability, housing and mental health services.

Our Offer

  • Permanent full-time appointment.
  • Salary of WCS 8 $111,268.37 to $115,907.03 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience plus 11% superannuation.
  • Salary packaging (up to $15,899 per year) plus meal and entertainment cards.
  • Paid shutdown leave on standard working days between Christmas and New Year.
  • 15 days paid personal leave per annum (pro rata) for full & part-time employees.
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave.
  • Based in Woden and travel within Canberra.
  • Study leave opportunities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant industry experience in marketing, corporate communications, media and stakeholder relations and business development.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating outcomes from marketing and communications strategies.
  • Sound experience and capabilities in public relations including digital and social media management, website management, content creation and media relations.
  • Highly effective interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.
  • Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant marketing software including Adobe Creative Cloud, MailChimp and Word Press.

To be eligible for employment, you must also have an ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, working rights in Australia, and be willing to undertake background checks required for the position.
