The main crushing season duties are:Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that consistently satisfies customer expectations with respect to technical and quality specificationsProduce quality sugar in such a manner so as not cause delays to pan stage operationsSample, inspect, and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams, and maintain up-to-date records.Separate sugar from molasses with minimal losses of sugar into the molasses streamRemelt C sugar in excess of the pan stage requirements.Monitor syrup/ magma / massecuite stocks and inform the pan stage operators when levels are abnormal.Regular inspection of plant, equipment and completion of maintenance requests.Completion of log books, charts and any other data collection required by management.Work in conjunction with the Pan Boilers, Shift Leaders, and others as necessary.Maintain high levels of housekeeping around the fugal stationProvide on the job training and assist in assessing employees undertaking a structured training programme when requiredApplicants with the following attributes will be highly regarded: A commitment to continuous improvement including safety and the environment.Excellent Problem solving & communication skillsSelf-motivated with highly developed organisational skills.Ability to guide and support others, and work in a team environment.Strong commitment to following process and meeting defined targetsSugar industry experience advantageous but not essentialHRWL for Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding (or willing to obtain) and/or trade skillsA major consideration in this position will be a willingness to gain additional skills and competencies as requiredFor further information about this role, please contact HR Coordinator - Shiralee Guistelli 07 4720 2981.Online applications at www.wilmarsugar-anz.com/our-people/careers - hit the "Apply" button.
