Apprenticeship Intake 2026

Bundaberg Sugar is a leader in the Australian Sugar Industry, and our activities include sugarcane growing, milling, refining and marketing. We have been part of the local community for generations, and we continue to play a vital role in one of the region’s most important industries.

We are pleased to announce our 2026 apprenticeship intake, offering the opportunity to start your career with Bundaberg Sugar. We are currently seeking apprentices to commence end of January 2026 in the following trades:

• 2 Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/Welding)
• 2 Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning)
• 1 Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic (Diesel Motor Mechanic)
• 1 Electro-technology Systems (Electrician)

As one of the successful applicants, you will gain hands-on training while working alongside industry professionals and develop practical skills to build a future career.

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork skills, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow. Ideal candidates will possess the following;

• Completion of Year 12 schooling by the end of 2025.
• Certificate I or II in Engineering Pathways, Certificate II in Electrotechnology, or a similar qualification.
• Some work experience in their chosen trade.
• Currently reside in Bundaberg or have a commitment to live in the area.
