Job Description - Account Director - Energy & Power

Our client is a leading insurance brokerage, dedicated to providing innovative risk management and insurance solutions. Their Energy & Power division is at the forefront of the industry, offering tailored services to clients across the energy spectrum, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and utilities. They are known for our deep industry expertise, exceptional client service, and commitment to delivering customized solutions.
The Role: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Client Director (or Client Manager dependant on experience) to join the Energy & Power team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of clients within the energy sector. You will leverage your industry knowledge and expertise to provide strategic advisory services, drive business development, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of energy sector clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy sector to expand our client base.
Strategic Advisory: Offer expert risk management advice and insurance solutions tailored to the unique needs of energy sector clients.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and industry partners.
Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the energy sector.
Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on the energy and power sector. (Experience will determine the role as either a Client Director or Client Manager)
Client Management: Proven track record of managing and growing a client portfolio, with strong client retention rates.
Business Development: Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of risk management and insurance solutions for the energy sector.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Education: Tier 1 Insurance Broking (a Diploma would be an advantage)
