Account Director - Energy & Power

Our client is a leading insurance brokerage, dedicated to providing innovative risk management and insurance solutions. Their Energy & Power division is at the forefront of the industry, offering tailored services to clients across the energy spectrum, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and utilities. The Role: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Client Director (or Client Manager dependant on experience) to join the Energy & Power team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of clients within the energy sector. You will leverage your industry knowledge and expertise to provide strategic advisory services, drive business development, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of energy sector clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy sector to expand our client base.
• Strategic Advisory: Offer expert risk management advice and insurance solutions tailored to the unique needs of energy sector clients.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and industry partners.
• Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the energy sector.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  
Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on the energy and power sector. (Experience will determine the role as either a Client Director or Client Manager)
• Client Management: Proven track record of managing and growing a client portfolio, with strong client retention rates.
• Business Development: Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of risk management and insurance solutions for the energy sector.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Education: Tier 1 Insurance Broking (a Diploma would be an advantage)
