Job Description - Account Executive

Full-time | Hybrid 2 days/week in our Melbourne CBD office)

Purpose


The primary purpose of the Account Executive role in ANZ is to drive new business growth and expand existing client relationships. The role is responsible for managing the full customer lifecycle, including owning post-sale account management to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and value realisation. In addition to sales and account management responsibilities, the role supports broader HammerTech business operations through activities such as sales reporting, field marketing initiatives, and contributing to the continued growth and effectiveness of the sales team.



What You’ll Bring



  • A degree qualification or equivalent commercial experience

  • Demonstrated experience in software sales, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Experience within the building and construction industry or a similar sector (highly regarded)

  • Exposure to Quality, Health, Safety or Environment (QHSE)-related activities or compliance frameworks (preferred)

  • Outstanding client service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-term stakeholder relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisation, planning and time-management capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Analytical, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills

  • Confident using everyday business systems and tools, with solid general computer skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while taking ownership of individual outcomes



Key Responsibilities



  • Understanding the client’s sales requirements and to be seen as a trusted advisor, not a salesperson

  • Generating new sales through researching, identifying and creating opportunities, or through in-bound leads

  • Account Management and revenue generation from existing clients

  • Project/Stakeholder management of clients during the “Sales” phase including status reporting to both internal management and clients

  • Assistance with general business administration

  • Other duties as required from time to time
