Job Description - Account Executive (Electrical / Telecommunications / ICT Managed Services)

About our opportunity:

Key responsibility : To drive new business in a strategic set of clients and maximise all opportunities for sales within the target accounts. You will be responsible for developing and executing winning sales strategies.

  • Demonstrable sales track record – planning and execution across the full sales life cycle in complex B2B clients.
  • Responsible for identifying, pursuing and closing out new opportunities and developing high-value prospective accounts
  • Understand the needs of the client; qualify opportunities and respond effectively to meet these needs.
  • Cultivate client loyalty and develop relationships that establishes a trusted advisor relationship
  • Assisting in planning sales campaigns
  • Manage your sales pipeline to ensure adequate coverage of the agreed targets
  • Develop strong lines of communication with stakeholders, to facilitate the achievement of sales targets whilst ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Identify and effectively work with the Project Management Team to prevent problems and participate in issue resolution by utilising the appropriate company resources.
  • Work within the guidelines of Company's procedures including participation in continuous improvement programs to enhance the organisation's financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key interfaces and strategic partners
  • Prepare and deliver presentations as required.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the HSEQ systems to ensure compliance, ongoing improvement, and customer focus throughout day to day work.
  • Communicate to your manager; any information, changes, or data which may influence any existing or future contracts in any manner - financially or otherwise.
  • Complete any ad hoc projects as required.

What you will need to have as a minimum

  • A university degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5-7 years direct sales experience in selling IT solutions or professional services to B2B corporate clients in the Australian marketplace
  • Familiarity with data centre solutions and large-scale technology rollouts.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Established relationships with decision makers, in the target client base, is an advantage
  • Demonstrate and articulate a deep understanding of the entire client buying journey; prior SPIN-methodology experience is a plus.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles and the contract management process.
  • Results-driven approach with proven ability to sell and project a positive, professional attitude with unwavering commitment to integrity and professionalism
  • Proven track record of territory management, bid management and key account development
  • Identify emerging opportunities and market shifts while being fully aware of new offerings from the competition
  • Continuously nurture current and prospective client with helpful industry knowledge & exciting news that will help them and us to succeed together.
