We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Opal Specialty Packaging business based in Orchard Hills.


 


This is a dynamic, customer-facing role where you will manage an established portfolio while actively driving new growth. You will look after core corrugated box business customers and play a key role in our rapidly expanding sustainable punnet division. This position offers the perfect hybrid of strategic account management and entrepreneurial business development.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:



  • Nurturing and expanding strategic individual accounts, building authentic rapport with diverse stakeholders.

  • Prospecting, pitching, and winning new business to expand our market footprint.

  • Delivering client value by deeply understanding customer pain points to design and deliver tailored value propositions covering pricing, service flexibility, and product uniqueness.

  • Working closely with internal teams to coordinate technical support, value engineering, quotes, and samples, ensuring we seamlessly exceed customer expectations.


 


What you’ll bring…


We are looking for a collaborative, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.


To be successful in this role, you will bring:


 



  • A proven track record of proactive business development, with the drive to identify and close new commercial opportunities.

  • Prior experience or knowledge within the packaging industry is highly regarded, as is an established network within the fresh produce or retail sectors.

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills, backed by a history of hitting key objectives and delivering commercial results.

  • The ability to foster strong working relationships across our manufacturing, technical, and design teams to deliver the best possible outcome for the customer.
