We are on the lookout for an awesome, talented Account Manager who loves people and technology, and is ready to embark on a full-time, permanent role in an innovative consultancy environment.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Account Manager to join our Client Relations Practice. As an entrepreneurial thinker, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic accounts, focusing on retention, growth, and long-term success. You will build trusted relationships through responsiveness, accountability, and proactive, commercially minded thinking.



Success in this role is not defined by technical expertise, but by your attitude and approach.  We are seeking a technical account manager or an account manager motivated to develop a sound understanding of the technology we love to deliver. A positive mindset, strong ownership, strategic thinking, and a genuine drive to create value are imperative; what matters is your ability to lead, grow, and think ahead.

  • Excel in stakeholder management, with the proven ability to influence and negotiate

  • Have an ability to take initiative and drive outcomes

  • You are motivated to commence or continue your career in IT and technology

  • Are passionate about building and growing client relationships

  • Have previous experience (e.g., 2+ years) in a similar role 

  • Have a proven track record in sales, i.e., growing business with existing clients, preferably in a consulting environment

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and provide guidance on clients' current and future needs

  • Have excellent writing and presentation skills as well as experience in preparing proposals

  • Hold a Bachelor of Business or other relevant qualification. Project Management certification is also desirable

  • Are authorised to work in Australia



Your primary responsibilities will be:




  • Maintaining a strategic account plan and executing it

  • Building long-term, quality working relationships with existing clients

  • Identifying opportunities to grow business with the clients in your portfolio, by developing an understanding of their current and future business needs and how these align with SOCO solutions

  • Acting as an effective client advocate, whilst ensuring the client has a full understanding of current SOCO agreements and engagements  

  • Working with the internal SOCO stakeholders to ensure project pipeline information, engagement opportunities, and client data are up to date, maintained, and reported

  • Being a conduit between internal stakeholders and clients to maintain effective and collaborative communication

  • Collaborating with our business development managers and other internal stakeholders to coordinate and develop proposals and bids (RFI/RFQ)

  • Reporting (or assisting with reporting) on project budgets, progress reports, and impacts on scope or technology

  • Representing SOCO at relevant industry conferences, tradeshows, and user-group meetings in addition to regular client visits, either in person or virtually
