Job Description - ACCOUNT MANAGER

COMPANY

Our client provides Non-Destructive Digging & Equipment Hire & Sales (Vacuum excavation), throughout Queensland, supplying the mining, agricultural, and civil works industries.

Vacuum excavation uses high-pressure water jets to break up solid ground, whether it's sand or clay, rocks or soil, and simultaneously vacuums the debris away into a holding tank for clean off-site disposal after a job is completed. Vacuum excavation is a non-invasive, cost effective and accurate way to locate or safely excavate around sensitive underground utilities, and reduces the risks associated with damaging these assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will be a leadership position based out of Head office and you will primarily be responsible for looking after a number of accounts from Queensland to Northern NSW and generating new business.

  • Maintain regular contact with all existing and potential customers utilising the existing pipeline to generate new business
  • Develop strategic relationships with customers, potential customers, Tier 1 clients, Govt Entities to name a few
  • Track and record client activity in the CRM
  • Engage in up selling and cross selling activities
  • Develop presentations, assemble quotations and customer proposals
  • Preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data accuracy

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior B2B Sales experience ideally within waste management or civil construction.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience with managing tender processes and developing competitive bids.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed
