Job Description - Account Manager

Overview

As an Account Manager you will be considered a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to your client group. You will develop strong relationships with your client’s, working with them to ensure their IT needs are being met with existing service agreements and identify solutions for their growing needs. Representing the entire range of Huon IT services, software & hardware technology you will lead the client to solutions that enhance their ability to be successful.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Client Advisory Services, you will be a senior and critical member of a professional sales and account management team providing expert advice and solutions. You will enjoy a supportive yet independent environment, where initiative, concerted effort & success are rewarded.   

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing accounts ranging from small and medium businesses, through to enterprise accounts.
  • Build relationships and drive new client offerings.
  • Expand our contact relationship within our key client contacts to provide future growth and opportunities.
  • Work closely with our BDMs and consultants as required to build proposals for client services or project sales.
  • Strategic planning to develop a pipeline of new business.
  • Act as a general point of contact for the client across our company departments including coordination of meetings and resources.
  • Contribute directly to the sales effort managing your own individual sales target
  • Understand our client’s business and effectively explain our services in this context
  • Manage the sales cycle from end to end – including participation in marketing events, presentations, proposals, sales reporting and so on. 
  • Work directly with the Head of Client Advisory Services, Internal Sales Rep, our consultants and others, to grow sales and build long-standing customer relationships
  • Ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded from inception to delivery
  • Be a supportive and collaborative team member and work with the whole business to achieve successful outcomes
  • Be a part of maintaining an ongoing culture of strong values

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the IT industry
  • Must have experience in MSP 
  • Ability to influence and drive successful win-win outcomes
  • Candidates should have a technical background or good understanding across a broad range of technologies.
  • Experience in IT including systems engineering, infrastructure and network management desirable
  • Ability to work effectively with executive and middle management along with technically minded and non-technical clients alike
  • High attention to detail and effective tracking and reporting
  • All candidates must be confident with strong verbal and written skills
