What’s the role?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing team at Industrial Fitting Sales (IFS) – Canning Vale who are committed to providing our customers with high quality products and services by anticipating customers’ needs, continually improving processes, and recognising the value of our people.

Your role as an Account Manager at IFS will see you having direct contact with our clients, creating and developing new customers, implementing sales strategies and influencing new products to our customers in WA.

What does the role involve?

  • Focusing on all essential sales activities such as planning, prospecting, face to face selling and analysis
  • Providing customers with product knowledge across our range of products in clear, concise, and informational manner
  • Adding value to customers business through understanding of customers’ objectives, strategies, and goals
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell our products or services, driving revenue growth and exceeding targets
  • Continuously foster a customer-centric culture, striving to exceed client expectations and deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
  • Willingness to learn and have positive attitude towards work
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Travel to customer sites for sales calls to generate sales growth

 

What you need is:

  • Be someone who is passionate, dynamic, travel enthusiast and strategically minded, with the drive to meet and exceed targets
  • Present yourself professionally, both in attitude and attire
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative or Sales Consultant
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office, smartphones and experience with CRM is desirable
  • Applicants with technical aptitude are preferred

Who are Industrial Fitting Sales (IFS)?

IFS was established in 1989 and from humble beginnings has grown into a company that has been in operation for more than 30 years, has 5 divisions and employs more than 80 staff with 50 of those in Qld alone. We own both the QLD and WA IFS branches and have a co-operative arrangement with branches in other states, which gives us a national footprint.

Gas Components Australia is a division of Industrial Fittings Sales P/L and started trading as Gas Components Qld in January 1999 with a staff of two & in 2008 we opened in Western Australia with Victoria coming online in 2011 and NSW in 2019. This evolution of our business led to the name change to Gas Components Australia and we now employ more than 10 staff across these regions and have a client network that not only encompasses all of Australia but allows us to export throughout the Pacific Region as well as into mainland Europe.

In 2017 50% of the ownership for Industrial Fittings Sales P/L was sold to three staff members who had been with the company for 20+ years, so you really deal with the people who own the company and have a vested interest to make sure everything is right and continue to push the evolution of our company for the future.
