Our client is a General Insurance broking house, that has been operating for 30+ Years In Melbourne

They are seeking a well-rounded Account Manager to join our Melbourne team to manage and advise on a portfolio of mid-sized clients and support the Director on High Hazard and Complex Risk Placements! 

Your primary focus will be managing relationships with key existing commercial clients, underwriters and other service providers, as well as providing.
tailored advice and custom solutions.

YOUR Technical Skills Required

  • At least 5 years' insurance experience in Insurance Broking.
  • A General Insurance Diploma is preferred, 
  • Tier 1 is an essential requirement.
  • A good understanding of General Insurance products including policies relevant to such a portfolio including.
    • Business Package,
    • ISR, 
    • Public & Product Liability
    • Marine & Transport Risks
    • Mobile Plant & Equipment,
  • Attention to detail and adept at reviewing insurance programs against clients' changing risk profiles, working to understand and identify uninsured risks and providing solutions to address them.
  • A broad understanding of industry segments including hospitality, retail, manufacturing, wholesaling, residential strata and technology.
About YOU
  • Refined and confident with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable engaging with senior management, from both customers and suppliers - in person and over the phone
  • Good at building rapport and developing relationships with both clients and underwriters alike.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage your own workload independently and be able to also work within a team.
  • Experience within a Global Brokerage or Large Suburban Brokerage Advantageous

  • Manage client revenues of $10,000 - $15,000 within your own portfolio
  • Work on larger and more complex risks with the Director and Owner of the Brokerage
  • Improve and expand your professional Market and Network
