The Role | Reporting to the Group Finance Manager 
Duties will include:

• Coordinate and prepare monthly journals, assist with accruals, provision accounting and payroll related entries.
• Prepare key Balance Sheet reconciliations in a timely manner with commentary on reconciliation items which require addressing
• Assisting in preparation of end of month group related reporting and submissions. Provide financial analysis, including variance analysis and commentary for management reporting.
• Identify and assist in implementing documentation and process improvements within the finance team with a keen focus on internal control
• Prepare group reporting (monthly, quarterly, half year and year end)
• Perform balance sheet maintenance and reconciliations
• Participation in the execution of the external and internal audit plan
• Support Payroll
• Participating in budget and forecasting processes
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks and reporting

The Candidate
You will have an excellent technical accounting base with a proven ability to handle a varied workload. To succeed, you will have an ability to balance your detail-driven personality with the capacity to understand the bigger picture. You will have minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and have completed or are currently studying your CA/CPA. Other requirements include:

• CA/CPA qualified, with at least 3 years industry experience preferable.
• Demonstrated experience in a corporate and large group consolidation position.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines while having excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of other MS Office applications.
• FMCG experience will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with Pronto or other large accounting systems will be considered an advantage.
