The Role | Reporting to the Group Finance Manager Duties will include:
Coordinate and prepare monthly journals, assist with accruals, provision accounting and payroll related entries.
Prepare key Balance Sheet reconciliations in a timely manner with commentary on reconciliation items which require addressing
Assisting in preparation of end of month group related reporting and submissions. Provide financial analysis, including variance analysis and commentary for management reporting.
Identify and assist in implementing documentation and process improvements within the finance team with a keen focus on internal control
Prepare group reporting (monthly, quarterly, half year and year end)
Perform balance sheet maintenance and reconciliations
Participation in the execution of the external and internal audit plan
Support Payroll
Participating in budget and forecasting processes
Assist with ad-hoc tasks and reporting
The Candidate You will have an excellent technical accounting base with a proven ability to handle a varied workload. To succeed, you will have an ability to balance your detail-driven personality with the capacity to understand the bigger picture. You will have minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and have completed or are currently studying your CA/CPA. Other requirements include:
CA/CPA qualified, with at least 3 years industry experience preferable.
Demonstrated experience in a corporate and large group consolidation position.
Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines while having excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of other MS Office applications.
FMCG experience will be considered an advantage.
Experience with Pronto or other large accounting systems will be considered an advantage.
