The Company
Sharp & Carter has partnered with a market leading retailer. The business has experienced strong growth in recent years. With a dynamic and respected leadership team, the group has an ambitious growth plan that will see it further cement its position and expand its Australian presence. With anticipated growth comes the need for a motivated and ambitious Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager.

The Role
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders;
• Preparation of relevant journals, prepayments and accruals;
• Completion of monthly general ledger reconciliations;
• Completion of month-end and year-end accounts;
• Ensure accurate allocation of costs;
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date general ledger; and
• Ad hoc tasks and process improvements as required.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified with an accounting or business background. You will have 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role and have completed or aspire to complete your CA/CPA. You will have exceptional communication skills, a strong eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
